I own a 95 gas wagon and over my year-and-a-half experience (around 17k miles) during which I consistently tracked and calculated fuel economy at every fill-up (and there are a LOT of ´em in there, believe me), I have never realized less than 9 mpg for a single tank of gas.
Mercedes Benz once managed to travel 633 miles without a refill in order to advertise a car that ´can take you farther on a tank of fuel than any other car sold in America.´ The term economical acquires a new dimension, even more so in times of gas-guzzling trucks, deceivingly nicknamed SUVs.
Ford´s broke his pledge to increase fuel mileage was tragic for the environment, but trying to stifle the free speech rights of our citizens isn´t going to solve anything.
